What is Nazarene Youth Conference (NYC)?

NYC is a powerful youth event, hosted by the Church of the Nazarene, which has been held in different locations for six decades. Taking place every 4 years, NYC provides an opportunity for high school students from the USA and Canada to be united for worship, discipleship, community outreach, and tons of fun.

NYC 2023 will be held July 5-9, 2023 in Tampa Bay, Florida, USA.

What happens during NYC?

NYC invites students to participate in plenary sessions with engaging speakers and creative artists, live concerts featuring top Christian recording artists, Ministry With Others service projects throughout Tampa Bay, interactive discipleship experiences, and a Recreation Hall filled with individual and group activities, games, and exhibits.

What is the cost of the event?

The total cost of NYC is determined by each District and will include the conference registration fee, travel expenses, lodging, meals, and any excursions being planned by the District. Contact your District NYI/NYC Leader for details.

How are students registered?

Registration for NYC 2023 will be directly handled by each District. Districts will provide parents/guardians with access to the registration system in order to complete registration and all release forms.

What about travel and lodging?

Districts will coordinate travel to and from Tampa Bay and will be housed together in an event hotel.

What if my student has special needs?

Our goal is to be inclusive to all participants. If your student has any special need, please contact your District leader and provide as much detail as possible during registration.

How are volunteers being selected?

The process for volunteer selection will be communicated Spring 2022. Those interested in volunteering should watch for more information.  We anticipate utilizing 200+ adult volunteers who will be selected and coordinated by our NYC Volunteer Coordinator.  In addition, we anticipate a large team of college age (NYC alumni students) who will be selected by each of our nine education Fields for volunteer service.
